So, What’s Next ?
Many people will have noticed that the updates around TOR have been some what hit and miss over that last few months. But really what else can BioWare reveal without giving away those all important story spoilers.
Well we ain’t seen the Timelines updated for an age, and there is a few loose ends with class progression and armor updates to be had. Yet these are fluff items that normally do not give us any real info on what the game has to offer.
Sure we can speculate as to what those videos hold but normally there is nothing ground breaking in the way of reveals that come from such videos.
Most everything asked about (that we don’t know already) is on that wall or crazy. The game is at a clinical turning point with almost all the content in and BioWare lashing on heaps of polish.
What else do we not know ?
Guild set-ups, the legacy system, in-game customizations are all in constant flux, so we will be very unlikely to get them pinned down until the game has a release day. Operations and flashpoints should never be seen again before release. I mean whats the point of knowing everything before you get to play, half the fun is working with your team to overcome those raid encounters.
And that seems to be what most people want now the release day, that and those golden tickets of the all important Beta invites.
Well those are the questions on everyone’s lips. When will the beta weekends start again and when will the release be.
Prolonged gaps from testing weekends only serves to bring fear to the masses. End of year is fast approaching with no clear end in sight the longer weekend testing gets put off the great the fear.
This is the first time in 3 years I have no idea what else TOR has to show. The endless Friday update that placed TOR’s naked carcass out for all to see. We’ve lapped up every drop on info that has come our way and yet we are still found wanting.
Maybe BioWare has a few hidden cards up there sleeves and we still may not have seen everything yet. Who knows they may still have 4 aces to wow us before the game has a release date pinned. It would be good marketing to bedazzle the masses and get the hype train running full speed again just before the game comes out.
Yet I think this is just wishful thinking on my part. I just can’t see what is around the corner with most of the focus trying to get the testing weekends right. That leaves very little time to give out inspiring Friday update every week (and rightly so) the most important thing here on in, is getting the game ready.
So are we missing anything ?
What updates are incomplete ?
Leave your thoughts…..
Until next time, MrWarlock signing off.

the only thing on my mind that I must see is crafting or “crew skills” info. They have got to throw us a bone and give us more information on this. I am about to get very impatient with them on this issue.
That is what is most important info for me personally, but I am a freak like that. ;P
I think they have quite a few things they can release as full updates. particularly all those things they’ve mentioned, but not thoroughly covered like the finalized crew skills, how open PVP on Ilum will work, any additional warzones/operations, more dev blogs about additional changes they’ve been doing, the modification system, itemization for ships, a video overview of the wall of crazy that they are looking at for post launch, etc.
To name a few. 😉
Personally, I’d like to see the character creator, Recommended Specs (instead if the Minimum) and erm…a release date if possible ;p
I’m bummed that there’s so much out there about the companions.
I would have preferred, “There will be companions” but not having a clue who they are. I hate the fact that now I’ll go into a story part and point to someone in a scene and go, “Oh, they’ll be joining me.”
As for what I’d /like/ to see… Character creator or starting clothing options.
I agree with Swtorcrafter, how about a few dozen schematic of each crafting for us to talk about without bumping into an NDA. Sure the stats of the items can change but the processes, etc can be discussed
I think we have all the info we need. The anticipation is what raises the reward when we FINALLY get our hands on the game. Think about it, what fun would it be for the game to release and you know all about schematics and the inner workings of the different aspects of the game. I believe for it to truly be the experience you’d expect from this game we know everything we need to know as of right now. My only concern is the lack of a release date, because as much as I love the reward of anticipation, I want to play! lol Ive never been disappointed by Bioware and have no reason to believe they will start now. At the end of the day I think too much information will diminish the intial badass-ery when this gem finally does launch 🙂

That is a very wise comment…I’ll try to refrain from wanting to see/read/eat every single morsel of information ever relating to this game and try and occupy myself with something else…back to KOTR for me then ;p
Haha, glad I could help 🙂

The only thing I am interested in seeing before the release is the release date. I am with Aareles on this. The lists of *What we need to see* kind of crack me up. We’re to the point now where it is time for a date. A couple more trailers, maybe a schematic or two, but other than that, I feel like its the eleventh hour.
The longer they wait, the more nervous I get.
Yep. I would feel much better, I actually had a nightmare that the release date was pushed to 2015….. I’ve been following the development since 2008 so its been a long road. If I could just get a date lol.
Personally, I really, desperately want to know more about the auction house system. How will posting work? How flexible is it? What are its limitations? As a dedicated money maker and (hopeful) “credit blogger,” this along with the crafting info (what I wouldn’t give for a database of crafting patterns and requisite mats) are the info that I am hungering for.
